Generative AI Policy
- Generative artificial intelligence (ChatGPT and similar tools) cannot be listed as an author, as it cannot bear responsibility for the accuracy and originality of the work.
- When AI tools are used as assistance (language editing, literature summarising, code writing), their use must be disclosed in the Methods or Acknowledgements section, stating the tool and the purpose.
- Authors remain fully responsible for the entire manuscript, including AI-assisted parts: accuracy, originality, and freedom from plagiarism.
- AI-generated images or figures are not allowed, unless they are the output of the research method itself.
- Reviewers and editors must not upload manuscripts to third-party AI services, as this breaches the confidentiality of the review process.
