AKTIVITAS SEBAGAI FENOMENA PLACEMAKING DI SIMPUL POS RONDA 09 NGLANJARAN, SLEMAN

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi transformasi fungsi Pos Ronda 09 di Nglanjaran,
Sleman, dari fasilitas keamanan menjadi ruang interaksi sosial yang penting bagi
komunitas. Masalah penelitian terfokus pada bagaimana ruang sederhana ini dapat
berkembang menjadi pusat kehidupan sosial melalui keterlibatan aktif warga. Penelitian
bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mendukung perubahan fungsi
tersebut dan mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap kohesi sosial. Metodologi penelitian
menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi langsung, wawancara semi-
terstruktur, dan analisis dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pos Ronda 09
tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai fasilitas keamanan, tetapi juga menjadi ruang publik
inklusif yang memfasilitasi berbagai aktivitas, seperti bercengkerama, kegiatan jual beli,
dan pertemuan warga. Elemen fisik sederhana, seperti bangku, meja, dan pencahayaan,
terbukti mendukung kenyamanan dan interaksi sosial. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan
bahwa placemaking melalui keterlibatan komunitas secara aktif mampu menciptakan
rasa memiliki dan solidaritas di kalangan warga. Rekomendasi penelitian mencakup
pengelolaan ruang publik berbasis budaya lokal untuk memperkuat hubungan sosial dan
kualitas hidup masyarakat.
