PARTICIPATORY APPRAISAL APLIKASI ZERO DELTA Q UNTUK PENYELAMATAN DAN KONSERVASI AIR DI DESA SARDONOHARJO, NGAGLIK, SLEMAN, YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
A conservation area and a source of water, Sardonoharjo Village needs effort to preserve and conserve water, because it is located in the upstream of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. One of the strategies for water preservation and conservation is the application of zero delta q, which entails no retaining runoff up to 100% or zero runoff. Facilitating the implementation of Zero Delta Q in Sardonoharjo Village, participatory appraisal is being conducted. This approach involves socialization accompanied by practical demonstrations, such as the installation of infiltration wells and several biopores. The social aspect of this initiative is reinforced by the analysis of rainfall-runoff data collected over 10 years from rain gauge stations situated around Sardonoharjo Village. Furthermore, as a physical demonstration of participatory appraisal, one infiltration well with a depth of 2 meters and five biopores with a depth of 1 meter have been constructed. Through these activities, it is hoped that the community will gain an understanding of and adopt the Zero Delta Q approach as part of participatory appraisal in their area, along with its supporting technologies.
